Danica Rodarmel is an attorney and policy consultant whose work centers on challenging and changing unjust criminal laws and creating a world where wellbeing and healing are truly accessible for all people. Danica’s family has been deeply impacted by violence and the criminal legal system, which has led her to devote her life to personal and collective healing and transformative forms of justice.
Prior to founding Whole Consulting in 2021 Danica worked as the San Francisco Public Defender State Policy Director, Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Equal Justice Works Legal Fellow, and Women’s Policy Institute Criminal Justice Team Fellow.
Gwen Gunheim has been part of Whole Consulting since 2023, channeling her love of list-making and spreadsheets into movement infrastructure, coalition building, and behind-the-scenes systems that make collective work possible. Her work in prison programming began in 2017, volunteering with the San Quentin Restorative Justice program, a practice that continues to shape her work and life to this day. At Whole Consulting, she supports both policy and operations with curiosity, care, and a commitment to justice. Gwen also serves as a dedicated Chaplain, offering emotional and spiritual care to community members navigating tragedy and loss.
